The proposal provides 2 blocks of apartments fronting
the street, with semi-basement parking, along with 2
subservient blocks of apartments to the rear, with new
vehicular road access, accessible pedestrian access,
disabled units & accessible amenity etc.

Proposed massing & architectural style respects the
street scene, presented as a contemporary
reinterpretation of the traditional style, using locally
referenced materials, proportions & forms. The proposed
blocks respects the established build line & height of
neighboring dwellings.


The application design has responded positively to all
pre-app comments, and as such, the proposal would
deliver a comprehensive scheme which optimises land
use, provides a good number of quality and essential
residential dwellings.


The proposal is considered to accord with the relevant
provisions of the National Planning Policy Framework, the
London Plan, Croydon’s Local Plan and relevant SPD’s.
As such, it’s therefore respectfully requested that the
application be approved subject to the appropriate
conditions.
